Helping Transfers at Scale: A Client Success Story

Matt Bemis, University of Southern California, and Tim Horzmann, CollegeSource

Faced with an impossible turnaround time for their 2020 transfer orientation cycle, USC partnered with CollegeSource to create a tool to allow students to self-report course data in a secure, formatted (data matching the printed transcript prefix and course number), automated, and inexpensive method, utilizing EDI open standards and the NSC speede server. The successful pilot illustrated the power to capture and consume this data, and may lead to a day where USC can offer prospective transfer credit reports with offers of admission. The session will also highlight how this new tool integrates with the CollegeSource API to TES data, allowing USC to automate the building of its transfer articulation rule sets.

We will also review the new logic that Program Matcher is using for more accurate results (it’s now running audits) as well as using a Student Population for Program Matcher. Finally, we will review how these 3 features all tie together for you to get the most out of uAchieve.
